Zur Weihnachtszeit füllen sich die Erwachsenenseelen mit Kinderfreude
„Christmas Musical“ - wo Klassik und Moderne zusammenfinden.

Was erwartet man sich von einem Weihnachtskonzert? Das gemeinsame Trällern von Weihnachtsliedern um den Weihnachtsbaum herum? Gehört Weihnachten nur den Kindern? Natürlich sind es vor allem die Kinder, die voller Spannung auf ihre Geschenke warten und nach wie vor an den Weihnachtsmann oder das Christkind glauben.

Caroline Vasicek, zweifache Mutter, Sängerin beim "Christmas Musical" im Wiener Ronacher, meint dazu: "Bevor die Kinder auf der Welt waren, war Weihnachten irgendwie traurig. Jetzt, wenn man im engen Familienkreis feiert, wenn die Kinder sich auf die Geschenke und das Fest freuen, ist das Weihnachtsfeeling und die Weihnachtsatmosphäre ganz anders." Für den reichlich gedeckten Weihnachtstisch ist allerdings die Oma zuständig. Caroline Vasicek ist mit ihrer Familie für das Dessert eingeteilt.

Zur Premiere am 2. Dezember des Konzertes "Christmas Musical" wurden die Erwartungen, eines biederen Liederabends mit ein paar "netten" prominenten Sängern nicht erfüllt. Stattdessen gab es ein wahres Feuerwerk der Gefühle, Emotionen und moderner Musik. Neben den Evergreens "Es wird scho glei dumpa“, "Let it snow", "Langsam rieselt der Schnee", "Did you see what I see" und "Stille Nacht" zum Abschluss gab es eine rockige Version „Santa vs. Christkindl“, welche die Umwandlung der Rivalität zwischen Christkind und Weihnachtsmann in Liebeleien zeigte. Mit Witz und spannenden Geschichten entstand ein tolles Potpourri auf der Bühne des Ronacher. Umrahmt wurde die Show durch die Weihnachtsgeschichte rund um den allseits bekannten Geizhals Scrooge, deren Ende offen blieb, nachdem der Ausgang der Geschichte dem Erzähler überlassen wurde.

„Musical Christmas“ ist eine grandiose Show, die Alt und Jung in Weihnachtsstimmung versetzt. Vor allem aber die genial satirischen Herangehensweisen durchbrechen den Kitsch und sorgen für beste Laune. Während Carin Filipcic und Caroline Vasicek gesangliche Höchstleistungen boten, die für Gänsehaut und stürmischen Beifall im Publikum sorgten, hatte Uwe Kröger wohl das eine oder andere Problem mit seiner musikalischen Darbietung. Manche der Töne wollten nicht sitzen und die Festigkeit, die seine sonst schöne Stimme untermauert, ließ zu wünschen übrig.

Für Abwechslung war gesorgt. Während manche Stücke Schönheit und Harmonie in den Vordergrund stellten, gab es auch Erinnerungsmomente an die Zeit, als man selbst unter dem Christbaum saß und auf die Bescherung wartete.

Natürlich zierten Weihnachtsbäume, Weihnachtsgeschenke und dementsprechende Kleidung die Bühne, vor allem aber stand die trend-Farbe Rot im Vordergrund und bei so manchem Zuschauer waren sowohl Tränen der Rührung wie auch der Freude und des Lachens zu entdecken. „Musical Christmas“ ist eine Weihnachtsdarbietung, die man auf keinen Fall verpassen sollte. Außer man ist Bühnenarbeiter beim Ronacher und dadurch gezwungen, sich die Show immer wieder anzuschauen, dann könnte man der zuckersüßen Festlichkeiten vielleicht doch irgendwann überdrüssig werden.
